60 Day Challenge

In April 2017, I couldn’t stand to look in the mirror anymore and I decided that surviving my life wasn’t enough. I wanted to live my life without reservations and my weight was the great wall blocking that from my view.

So here I stand, 2 years later. With over 70 lbs gone, I’m finally taking the steps to living the life I want and looking in the mirrror doesn’t upset me as much. However, I still have a ways to go before I’m fully satisfied. For the last several months, I had been stuck at 195 lbs. After stepping out of the last program, I decided that I was tired of investing my money and time into someone or something I knew that I could do for myself. No one can make the right choices for me. And in realizing that, I have the power to change my circumstances and climb out of this plateau.

This mindset birthed my 60 day challenge. Now, I’m not keto, vegetarian, paleo or whatever else there is in the world. I don’t believe is cutting entire food groups out of my diet because that doesn’t work for me. However, I believe in substituting the bad for the good and eating in moderation. So this challenge focuses on that.

Starting on June 5th, I’m shooting for 75 oz of water, 10000 steps or more per day, clean, low carb meals while incorporating strength training and cardio.

My short term goal is to hit the 170s by the end of this challenge. And that means buckling down and staying focus. It means going back to saying “no thank you” to sweets, pizza and processed food. It means sore muscles, meal prepping and frequent pee breaks. But if I can reach this check point and continue my journey, then I’m ready for it.
